About Me
CARLY GOODFELLOW MA, RCC-ACS
Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist
BCACC Approved Clinical Supervisor
I have been in private practice working with individuals and couples for 17 years. I jumped in to couples work early in my career and learnt quickly about the need for supervision and targeted skills to navigate the complexity of relationally wounded clients. With effective supervision support, my confidence and my compassion grew and I began to enjoy helping these conflicted couples have relationships that thrive. It is my wish to offer the same supportive supervision and consultation to help therapists feel empowered in their role in complex trauma repair.
I have a background in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and have received full training in the Developmental-Relational Model of Couples Therapy (Couples Institute, 2012). I also attended workshops on Imago Therapy (couples and group dialogue) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy tools for couples. I have committed myself to self study in Emotionally- Focused Couples therapy, Gottman tools. I am a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist and EMDR therapist with skills in Ego-state therapy, attachment repair, memory reconsolidation and somatic tools for trauma reprocessing.
Over the years, I have come to specialize in helping individuals and couples heal the relational wounds of childhood trauma including abuse, chronic invalidation, abandonment and neglect.
I am the founder and Clinic Director of Vida Relationships, a team of specialized couples and relationship therapists. I am a BCACC Approved Clinical Supervisor and have been mentoring and supervising couples therapists for over 12 years.
