Welcome to my Blog! Trauma Therapy and Resilient Mental Health Recovery with Carly Goodfellow


Hello there and a warm welcome to you! I’m Carly Goodfellow, a BCACC Registered Clinical Counsellor and a dedicated integrative psychotherapist specializing in aiding the recovery path for individuals struggling with mental health challenges, including adult survivors of childhood trauma.


My intention for this blog is to be a beacon of hope for trauma survivors and those struggling with depression, anxiety, and nervous system dysregulation. I wish to offer solace and for you to see that these symptoms are not a life sentence. You can enjoy your life. I want to provide a space where you can find comfort, practical advice, and encouragement. Through the posts, I hope to help you recover from painful symptoms, foster self-compassion, and build more fulfilling relationships. It truly is a hopeful journey and one where you are not alone, in fact part of the greater human family and you deserve to feel seen, heard and that your experience matters.

My Mission: Offering Support and Inspiration for Trauma Therapy & Self-Recovery


I run a Vancouver based and online psychotherapy practice, where I focus on a range of evidenced-based therapeutic approaches designed to resolve the deep-seated impacts of trauma and help you regain a sense of balance and well-being. These methods include Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and other Somatic Therapies, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Clinical Hypnosis, and Music Integrated Therapy.


In my 17 years of practice, I have witnessed the deep pain of feeling broken inside. I believe healing is tapping into a sacred space of renewal and have been honoured to be able to be a part of many journeys. I have been committed to training in methods that effectively integrate the body, mind and spirit as a pathway to a felt sense of wholeness. It is my sincere wish for you to know that you are robust and inherently resilient, and that no matter what a part of you believes, you are truly good enough.
