What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Clinical Hypnotherapy is a safe, gentle and deeply relaxing therapeutic technique that can bring positive changes in your mental and emotional health quicker than traditional talk therapy.
Hypnosis treatment accesses a natural state of highly focused attention and heightened awareness, often referred to as trance. You actually naturally go into trance multiple times a day. In this trance state, a deeper level of consciousness wakes up and that critical, busy part of your brain is temporarily subdued. ​
When this happens, your mind is calm, thoughts are settled and clear, your body is grounded and at ease and from here, you can access you Inner Healer - a deep, wise part of your psyche where intuition and insight comes from.

How do Hypnotherapy Sessions Work?
Hypnotherapy is always a collaborative experience. Sessions begin with deciding to work on a particular issue of concern. Then we spend some time studying your experience of the struggle, learning about what thoughts, beliefs or underlining conflicts may be contributing to it and what you are longing to see change.
Then we begin accessing your own innate wisdom mind. We work together to find your unique pathway to hypnotic consciousness.
As a trained somatic Clinical Hypnotherapist, I will guide you by using mindful, somatic induction tools, verbal cues, somatic resourcing and positive suggestions (based on your preferences and decided beforehand) to help you deepen into healing trance.
As a relational trauma-informed hypnotherapist, I will work collaboratively with you to find your own unique path to the resources, tools, new insights and shifts in beliefs that will bring the transformation you are seeking.
What are the next steps?
Your hypnotherapy journey begins with booking your first session. I offer certain packages for short term targeted issues, and also a more open ended general treatment path.
If unsure where to start, just book a 45min Initial Clinical Hypnotherapy Assessment Session and we'll go from there.
In this initial session we will meet, explore your current struggles and set some goals for treatment. I will go through any questions you have about hypnotherapy and we may try out a short induction to help you get a feel for how it works.
You should plan to have a safe, confidential space where you are comfortable having your online session. Ensure you have a secure WIFI connection and some good headphones.
Your online Hypnotherapy sessions are through Doxy Videoconferencing, a secure, encrypted Telehealth platform.
Be assured that online hypnotherapy is highly effective and offers the same results as in person. Due to being in the comfort of your own space, in some cases it is even more effective.
